Grinnell welcomes several new inductees into Chi Alpha Sigma

2025-26 MWC Inductees

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College welcomed several new student-athletes into Chi Alpha Sigma at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.

The first and only national scholar-athlete society to recognize four-year collegiate student-athletes who have excelled both academically and athletically, Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes undergraduate collegiate student athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity level, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fourth full-time semester, and earning a 3.5 and higher cumulative grade point average.

Selection for membership is by an athletics department designee in consultation with the individual's head coach and is based on outstanding scholarship, earned athletic letter winner, excellent character and citizenship. All nine full-time Midwest Conference members inducted classes into Chi Alpha Sigma, while Grinnell College led the league with 88 honorees.

Grinnell inductees include Joe Chanis '27, Ian Gunn '27, Tanner Deal '27, Carolyn Pierce '27, Juniper Schwartzman '27, Tyler Ching '26, Alex Pollock '27, Rowan Divadeenam '27, Lucky Carton '26, Mike Elvin '27, Rama Joshi '27, Elyse Pender '27, Noah Tsukuda '27, Keely Yeager '27, Bella Kalb '27, Eva Rousseau '27, Molly Ryan '27, Natasha Zettler '27, Anshul Satav '27, Addie Persian '27, Paige Sargent '27, Alyssa Trapp '26, Klaire Thompson '27 and Keira Sullivan '27.

Founded in 1996 by then DePauw University head football coach, Nick Mourouzis, Chi Alpha Sigma provides outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
