Pioneer women's cross country team races to strong performance at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. - Grinnell College's women's cross country team was the top-finishing non-NCAA Division I team at Friday's Bradley Intercollegiate, placing third in a field of 12 squads.

The Pioneers finished with 87 points, just 10 behind Drake University. The host school won with 15 points.

Grinnell's Ella McEntee '29 toured the 3-mile course in 18 minutes, 46.3 seconds to finish 16th in a field of 110 runners. Cindy Wang '28 finished 18th in 18:59.6, while Beatrice Ebel '28 was 21st in 19:15.8. Rounding out Grinnell's list of scorers were Emily Summers '29 (30th in 19:40.7) and Carmen Wooten '29 (31st in 19:41.2).

Other top performers for Grinnell were Julia Chang '29 and Edie Broadmoore '29, who were 33rd and 41st in 19:42.5 and 20:00.9, respectively.

Bradley's Noelle Steines was the individual champ in 16:13.2.
