Win is Pioneers' first against the Knights since 1989

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - A day after suffering its first loss of the season, Grinnell College's men's soccer team got back on track Sunday with a 1-0 victory at Carleton College.

It marked the Pioneers' first victory against the Knights since 1989 and broke a string in which Grinnell posted a 0-9-1 mark against Carleton.

Grinnell (8-1) scored in the ninth minute when Oliver Klemm '29 found the back of the net for his third goal of the season and career. Samuel Gojjam '27 and Jake Lu '30 had assists on a play that involved a cross from the left endline into the six-yard box which Klemm headed into the right side of the goal.

Jack Alexander '29 worked the shutout as Grinnell's keeper, posting four saves. It was his third shutout of the season.
