Graduated from Grinnell High School in 2011 where he was a four time tennis MVP, finished 4th at State (highest ever singles finish for a Grinnell High School tennis player), and was Academic All-Conference for both Cross-Country and Tennis . . . outside of athletics Charlie was a member of the National Honor Society, a member of Thespian Troupe #4274, a Debate Conference Champion, and received All-State Recognition for TV News Broadcast

2013: Midwest Conference champion at No. 6 singles ... Academic All-Conference.
