Background:
Born in Arizona to Sharyn Luellen Kessel and Todd Kessel, and has one sibling, Harrison. Graduated from Cactus Shadows High School in Cave Creek in 2015.
High School:
Participated in Track and Field and Basketball. She was named Team Captain for 2 years for basketball, earned the Hustle and Versatility awards, was 4 year varsity letter winner in both track and basketball, was a state qualifier in the 4x100 meter relay, 200 dash, top 10 finisher in the 400 at state and 4th place finish in the 4x400 meter relay, and earned the 4x400 school record 3 times over. In addition to athletics, she was a member of National Honor Society, National Honors Spanish Society, and was in the top 20% of her graduating class.
