Born in Chicago, Ill. … daughter of Christopher and Sharice Coleman.

High School:
Attended Martin Luther King Jr. College Prep, where she lettered four years in basketball and three years in softball … won Senior Athlete Award in both sports … in basketball, played on the school’s first regional championship squad in 2009-10  … in softball, played on regional championship team in 2009-10 … aside from athletics, won Most School Spirit and Most Studious awards … was president of the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar and two-year Chicago Marching Band Classic champion … also starred in “Grease” as a senior and was the recipient of the first Dr. Barbara Sizemore Achievement Award as well as the Top 10 Graduate Award … was a Senior Spanish Scholar and Senior Social Science Scholar.
