Visiting Team Information
Grinnell College and its Athletic Training staff are excited to be your host for the upcoming athletic competitions. During your time here we will do our utmost to ensure a safe and quality experience. The information below will provide you with general information about the services we will be able to provide.
Athletic Training Room: The athletic training room is located on the lower level of the Bear Athletic and Recreation Center. It will be open approximately 2 hours prior to competition and will stay open approximately 30 minutes post competition.
Athletic Training Services: We will provide taping and treatment areas, ice bags, ice cups, hydrocollator pads and water. Ultrasound and electrical stimulation area available if you are traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer or if you have a note with written protocols signed by a Certified Athletic Trainer or Team Physician. Ulatrasound, electrical stimulation and hydocollator pads are only available in the athletic training room. We will do our best to provide any taping needs prior to competitions as long as your team provides the taping supplies.
Emergency Services: We will provide splints, crutches, an AED, biohazard containers, etc. as needed. In the event of an emergency or injury we will be available to assist in any way necessary. Our Team Physician Doctor Albright, or one of his associates, will be on site for all football games. The emergency room and urgent care center are all located at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
