Born in Carroll, Iowa … son of Myron and Kim Herzberg … has a sister, Lydia.

High School:
Graduated from Nevada High School, where he participated in cross country, basketball and soccer … was a four-year letter winner in soccer while earning second-team All-Conference honors … was a two-year letter winner in basketball and won the Marines Distinguished Athlete Award in 2012 … aside from athletics, also won the Iowa Bar Association Youth Citizenship Award and the National Choral Award.

2013: Academic All-Conference.
