Graduated from Grinnell Community Senior High School where he participated in swimming, tennis, cross country, and track & field … was a 4-time varsity swimming member and a member of varsity tennis … aside from athletics, was a member of National Honors Society, High Honor Roll, two-time All-State Speech Performer for Television Newscasting, and Assistant Stage Manager at Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards. He also earned Academic Honors in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish. Also named an International Honor Thespian.
