Graduated from Munster High School, where he participated in tennis … was named the Post-Tribune Boys Tennis Player of the Year, first-team All-Conference and All-District three times, Post-Tribune first-team All-Area twice and first-team Academic all-state … was a four-year varsity starter on a team ranked in the top 25 in the state all four years … as a senior played No. 1 in singles as the team finished ranked 16th in the state with a 20-2 record … team won conference and sectional championship all four years and regional championship three times … had 67 career singles wins, including a 24-0 record in conference play and 10-0 mark in sectional play … aside from athletics, was a National Honor Society member, graduated with Highest Academic honors, was AP Scholar with Honor and member of All-State Honor Band.
