Biography
Background:
Born in Minnesota to Venkat and Sudha, and has one sibling, Tharun. Graduated from Shakopee High School in 2016.
High School:
Raghu was selected to speak at his graduation commencement ceremony in 2016 by the Shakopee High School class of 2016. He played Alto saxophone and Bass Clarinet for the Shakopee Wind Ensemble. He was an AP Scholar in 2015, a Varsity member of the Speech team, a LINK leader, played piano for 12 years, earned a Triple A (Academics, Athletics, Arts) nomination from his teachers, and was named both Athlete of the Week and Fine Arts Student of the Week twice. In addition to academics, he was a member of the varsity tennis team for 5 years. He was a 4 time All-Conference Award Winner, Academic All-State member, and earned a spot in the Doubles State Tournament in 2016. His team also made it to the National Team Tennis Tournament in 2011 and 2016. He was also elected Captain in 2016.Â
College:
2019: Academic All-Conference.
2017: Finished second at No. 2 doubles at Midwest Conference Tournament.
