Jaxson Foster joined the Grinnell College women's basketball staff in the fall of 2023.
A native of Dike, Iowa, Foster graduated with a bachelor's degree in movement and exercise science from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a four-year student-manager for the men's basketball team.Â
He later gained his master's degree in strategic leadership from Mount Mercy University while also working with the women's basketball program as a graduate assistant coach. He also was head coach for the varsity reserve team at that time, with the 2021-22 squad posting a 10-7 record. During that time, the varsity team won 10 conference games and 13 overall.
Foster also coached AAU basketball for three summers for Iowa Prep Basketball. During that time, he coached a fourth-grade boys team and 17u girls squad.
