Born in Maceio, Alagoas, Brazil … daughter of Marilia Barreiros Amorim and Walter Ananias de Barros Filho … has one sibling, Byanka Damaso Ananias.
 
High School:
Graduated from Orme School, where she won the David A. Robertson Personal Excellence Award (six out of 120 students chosen by faculty), was a member of National Honor Society, won F. Stephen Nash Prize for most achievement and commitment in chemistry, Linear Algegra/English III/Environmental Science Award and seven certificates of Excellent Performance.
