Emily Willmann graduated from Manchester University (Indiana) in 2015, majoring in Biology Chemistry with a minor in Psychology, where she played soccer and softball all four years. During her years at Manchester, she was awarded several HCAC All-Conference awards, the Betty Clark Memorial Award, third-team All-Great Lakes Region and broke the school record for career shutouts. She was also elected captain of the Manchester University women’s soccer team her sophomore, junior and senior years.
 
Overall, Willmann starred on the softball field and soccer pitch leading both programs to new heights including the 2013 HCAC softball title and a combined six postseason conference tournament appearances; earning a combined seven-time all-conference awards and five academic all-conference honors; and holding captain roles five times in two sports
 
During her summers throughout college, Willmann served as a volunteer keeper coach for Blackford High School women’s and men’s teams for four summers, as well as a volunteer keeper coach for Delta High School women’s soccer team for one summer.
 
Currently she is finishing up her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Des Moines University where she is performing research dedicated to furthering the understanding of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus pathology and applying to medical school.
 
She lives in Des Moines with her partner and cat, Nimbus.
