Graduated from Galesburg High School and participated in soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and dance team … was IHSA Academic All-State honorable mention, Academic All-Conference in three sports, team captain for soccer and dance teams … UDA All-American Dancer … two-time regional champ in basketball and won Jaycette Award as most valuable female athlete voted by peers, Don Morris Award as most valuable multi-sport female athlete voted by coaches and staff and Physical Toughness Award in basketball and was voted second for most valuable multi-sport athlete in her conference … aside from athletics, was named Illinois State Scholar, Principal Scholar for top 5 percent, All-State and All-District French horn player, marching band/wind symphony section leader, Academic Challenge Club four-year State qualifier and  team captain, won Iota Sigma Women in Chemistry Award and National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
