Born in Des Moines, IA to the parents Jennifer Palmer and Kirk Irwin, she has one sibling, Nick. Graduated from Johnston High School in 2016.
High School:
While participating in swimming in high school, Kate also earned many Academic Awards. She was a member of National Honor Society from 2014-2016, was a member of the Silver Cord Student Representative from 2013-2016, and was a Member of the National Council of Youth Leadership.Â
College:
