Background:
Born in Los Alamos, NM to the parents Francesco and Giulia, and has four siblings Giuseppe, Paolo, and Lorenzo, she graduated from Los Alamos High School in 2014. Â
High School:
While participating in Swimming, Maria earned Student-Athlete of the year in 2014, was captain from 2013-2014, and was a NM State Finalist in 2011-2014.Â
College:
2017: Midwest Conference champion in 200 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 IM and 400 medley relay … school record-holder in 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.
2016: Qualified for NCAA Division III National Championships … Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Year … MWC champion in 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 IM and 400 medley relay.
2015: Midwest Conference champion in 200 backstroke and 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay … Academic All-Conference.
