Ashley Rozendaal

Rozendaal, originally from San Antonio, Texas, graduated from George Mason University where she gained a bachelor's degree in communications.

She was a member of the track and field team from 2004-2006, competing in the discus (43.48m), hammer (43.25), weight (15.36) and shot put. She also threw the discus and shot at the University of Texas-San Antonio from 2002-04.
 
Other athletic accomplishments include winning the 2A SHW Texas State Powerlifting Association state championship in 2002. She also played on the offensive line (center and right guard) for the DC Divas full contact football team in 2013 and 2015. In 2015, the team won the Women’s Football Alliance National Championship game. She was also a volunteer coach at George Mason University and for youth track clubs in Virginia.  
 
Rozendaal has a master's degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University and serves as Chief Operating Officer for Creating Positive Futures out of Atlanta, Ga. Previously, she was the Director of Student Success at American University and led the Student-Athlete Support Program.  

Rozendaal lives in Grinnell with her husband Neal and three children: Magnolia, Kinnick and Penny.
