Carissa Tigges started at Grinnell in August 2015 and was named Head Athletic Trainer in 2021.
Carissa graduated with a degree in Athletic Training from Trinity International University and a master’s in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to Grinnell, she worked at Beaumont Health System, Royal Oak High School, and Trinity International University. While at TIU, she was also an adjunct instructor within the CAATE-accredited athletic training education program.
Carissa is certified by the Board of Certification and licensed by the State of Iowa. She holds additional certifications as an ARC CPR/First Aid Instructor, Graston Technique M1, and FMT Basic.
