Grinnell College's Sam Stickels '19 has been named the Midwest Conference Men's Tennis Performer of the Week. Stickels had a big weekend, including a singles win over a nationally-ranked player and doubles win against a regionally-ranked duo. He went a perfect 5-0 during that time, winning No. 1 doubles matches against Lake Forest College, Ripon College and Coe College. The latter win was over a team ranked in the Central Region. He also contributed wins at No. 2 singles against Lake Forest and Coe, with the Coe win against a player ranked 50th in NCAA Division III. As a team, Grinnell won all three matches - including a 5-4 thriller over nationally-ranked Coe - to improve to 17-4 on the season and remain perfect in the MWC. The Pioneers are riding a seven-match winning streak.
