Grinnell College’s Sophie Wojdylo ’22, a national diving qualifier last winter, has picked up where she left off in 2019 by being named the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
Wojdylo, from Ballwin, Mo. (Parkway West), kicked off the season with winning performances in 1- and 3-meter diving in a dual meet win at Coe College Saturday. A regional champion last season, Wojdylo scored 214.75 in the 1-meter event and 221.35 at 3 meters.
Grinnell athletes swept the MWC Performer of the Week honors as Enrique Valero Ying ‘23 won the award for men’s swimming and diving.
