Grinnell College Athletics

After helping the Grinnell College football team snap a seven-game losing streak, Grinnell College's TJ Lawrence '25 has been named the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Lawrence, from Saint Peters, Mo. (Lutheran High School of St. Charles County), recorded eight tackles, including three for loss and 2.5 sacks, in Saturday's 33-23 win at Beloit College.
 
His tackles for loss totaled 16 yards and his sacks were for a combined 14 yards. Grinnell, which rallied from 17-6 halftime deficit by holding the Buccaneers to just six second-half points, has now beaten Beloit four times in a row.
