Grinnell College's Jack Pennachio '28 has begun his career with the Pioneer men's soccer team on a huge note by earning a prestigious Midwest Conference honor.Pennachio, a defender from Eastchester, N.Y. (Eastchester), has been named the MWC Defender of the Week in voting of the league's sports information directors. Pennachio helped propel the Pioneers' defense to a shutout victory as Grinnell stopped Eureka College 1-0 Sunday. Grinnell, which has given up just one goal in three outings, limited the visitors to just eight shots.
