Grinnell College's Sydney McClendon ’16, a 5-7 defensive specialist from McPherson, Kan. (McPherson), was recently named the Midwest Conference Volleyball Defensive Performer of the Week.

McClendon also stepped up big against Monmouth and Knox, averaging 7.38 digs per set and coming up with five service aces in those matches. She ranks eighth in the MWC in the digs department.
