GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men's tennis team moved to 3-0 in Midwest Conference South Division play Tuesday afternoon with a 9-0 blanking of Illinois College at 10th Avenue Courts.

The Pioneers, 18-11 overall, got 6-0, 6-0 singles wins from Rob Storrick '15 at No. 1, Sam Catanzaro '16 at No. 3, Beau Bressler '16 at No. 4, John Gernon '15 at No. 5 and Ameer Shujjah '16 at No. 6. Bryson Cale '16 added a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.

In doubles, Cale and Catanzaro won 8-2 at No. 1, Storrick and Bressler posted an 8-1 victory at No. 2 and Gernon teamed with Caleb Kumar '16 to win 8-3 at No. 3.

Illinois College fell to 0-4 in the MWC South and 0-12 overall.

Grinnell plays at Monmouth College on Saturday in a key MWC South contest.
