GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men's tennis team, split into two squads, posted four shutout wins in dual matches Saturday.

In action at Grinnell's Bear Recreation and Athletic Center Field House, Grinnell toppled both Westminster College and Grand View University by 9-0 scores. At Green Bay, Wis., the Pioneers beat Midwest Conference North Division foes St. Norbert College and Ripon College 9-0.

Singles winners, one through six, against Grand View and Westminster were Elliott Czarnecki '15, Tommy Pitcher '17, Charlie Wilhelm '15, Sam Catanzaro '16, Caleb Kumar '16 and Will Hamilton '17.

In doubles play, Czarnecki and Pitcher won twice at the top spot, Catanzaro and Hamilton were victorious twice at the second position and Wilhelm teamed with Beau Bressler to win twice at No. 3.

In the win over St. Norbert, Grinnell got singles wins from Emilio Gomez '15, Cole Miller '17, Tracy Johnson '16, C.J. Ray '16, Rob Storrick '15 and Bryson Cale '16. The doubles teams of Gomez-Johnson, Miller-Ray and Storrick-Cale also won.

Against Ripon, singles winners were Miller, Johnson, Ray, Storrick, John Gernon '15 and Ameer Shujjah '16. The doubles teams of Gomez-Johnson, Miller-Ray and Cale-Storrick also posted victories.

Grinnell, 13-3 overall, hosts Lawrence University and Hastings College next Saturday.
