BELOIT, Wis. – The Grinnell College volleyball team bounced back from Friday night's loss to Lake Forest College to topple Beloit College in four sets Saturday.
The victory gave the Pioneers their first Midwest Conference win of the year.
Set scores, in favor of Grinnell, were 23-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-23.
Sydney Vrecenar and
Olivia Fromm each had eight kills for Grinnell, while
Margaret Giles,
Emma Willhardt and
Ariel Lepito had seven apiece.
Giles also hit a whopping .467 and dished out 20 assists. Fromm served up three aces and
Jennifer Joy tallied 19 digs and Giles 18.
On Friday, Lake Forest topped the Pioneers 25-16, 25-10 and 25-13.
Fromm had seven kills and
Emily Friedman six. Giles had 22 assists.
