GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College volleyball team lost a hard-fought four-set decision to Knox College Saturday afternoon at Darby Gymnasium.
Set scores, in favor of Knox, were 26-24, 26-24, 23-25 and 25-21.
Evelyn Weidman had a big day at the net for the Pioneers with 16 kills while hitting a whopping .556.
Olivia Fromm added 10 kills.
Margaret Giles dished out 46 assists and
Christine Hood served up three aces. Three players were in double digits for digs, as
Sydney Vrecenar had 23 and
Sydney McClendon and Fromm 15 apiece.
Emma Willhardt tallied four total blocks.
Grinnell is now 0-4 in the Midwest Conference and 0-13 in all matches, while Knox moved to 4-0 in league play and 9-10 overall.
