Pioneer netters fall to Carroll

GRINNELL, Iowa – Carroll University escaped with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-22 volleyball win over Grinnell College Friday night at Darby Gymnasium.
 
Evelyn Weidman had seven kills for the Pioneers and Emily Friedman six. Margaret Giles tallied 23 assists and Sydney Vrecenar had 16 digs.
 
Weidman had three total blocks.
 
The Pioneers, 0-5 in the Midwest Conference and 0-14 in all contests, host Ripon College Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
