Pioneer netters see stellar season end with loss to nationally-ranked Coe

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Grinnell College men's tennis team saw its stellar season come to an end Friday with a 5-1 loss to nationally-ranked Coe College in an NCAA Division III National Tournament first-round contest.
 
Coe entered the match ranked 36th in the nation and No. 8 regionally, while Grinnell is 18th in the region.
 
Grinnell got its win at No. 3 doubles with the team of C.J. Ray '16 and Cole Miller '17. They were victorious by an 8-2 score.
 
Grinnell finished with a 28-11 record while winning the second-most matches in program history. Coe advances with a 21-6 mark.
