JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Grinnell College men's basketball team lost a hard-fought 125-119 contest at Illinois College on Tuesday.
 
Kyle Parker '17 tallied 31 points for the Pioneers, while Danny Thomas '18 had 15. Mike Porter '17 scored 11 and Nick Curta '17 had 10.
 
Julian Marx '17 dished out four assists, while Parker and Vinny Curta '19 had three steals apiece. Thomas also grabbed six rebounds.
 
Grinnell is now 5-7 in the Midwest Conference and 8-9 overall, while the Blueboys moved to 3-9 in the league and 6-11 in all games.
 
Illinois College led 65-56 at halftime before Grinnell rallied, leading 110-106 with 2:12 left. But the hosts came back to secure the win.
