One unit defeated Macalester College 9-0 in Owatonna, Minn., and another team topped St. Ambrose University 8-1 at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center Field House.

Singles winners against Macalester were
Jose Coloma (6-0, 6-2),
Cole Miller (7-6, 6-2),
C.J. Ray (6-3, 6-1),
Tracy Johnson (6-2, 6-0),
Tommy Pitcher (6-4, 6-1) and
Sam Catanzaro (6-3, 6-4).

Also winning were the doubles teams of Coloma-Pitcher (8-4), Miller-Ray (9-8) and Johnson-Catanzaro (8-5).

In the St. Ambrose match, Grinnell swept singles with Zach Lane (2-6, 7-6, 10-8),
Caleb Kumar (6-2, 6-2),
Beau Bressler (6-3, 6-1),
Will Hamilton (6-3, 6-1),
Ameer Shujjah (6-1, 6-2) and
Caleb Ulring (6-1, 6-0).

Kumar and Shujjah won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, as did Bressler and Ulring at No. 3.

Grinnell also lost 5-4 to Wartburg College. In singles, Kumar won 6-0, 7-5 at No. 2 singles, Bressler posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 4 and Ulring won 1-6, 6-2, 10-8 at No. 6.

Kumar and Shujjah also won 9-8 at No. 2 doubles.
