RIPON, Wis. - Grinnell College's football team dug itself into a hole early as Ripon College came away with a 55-0 victory Saturday afternoon.

The hosts led 14-0 after one period and 28-0 at halftime while improving to 1-3. Grinnell is also 1-3.

The Pioneers'
Carson Dunn '18 reached a milestone by breaking the 1,000-yard rushing mark for his career. He had 60 yards Saturday and now has 1,045 in his time wearing a Pioneer uniform.

Defensively,
Ryan Slager '19 had a strong effort with 19 tackles, including 13 solos, as well as a fumble recovery.Â

Jeff Keele '19 tallied eight tackles, while
Reed Winter '21 and
Luke Howard '19 added seven. Winter had an interception and
Hassan Thompson '19 a fumble recovery.

Offensively,
Alec Maloney '21 had three catches for 39 yards and
David Taylor '20 added two catches for 31 yards.

The Pioneers entertain Monmouth College at 1 p.m. next Saturday at Rosenbloom Field.
