Tibrewal is double winner for Grinnell men's tennis team against nationally-ranked Oberlin

ORLANDO, Fla. - Ishaan Tibrewal '21 was a double winner for the Grinnell College men's tennis team in its 6-3 loss to nationally-ranked Oberlin College Wednesday.

He won a marathon 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 decision at No. 6 singles and teamed with Zach Lane '19 to win 8-5 at No. 3 doubles. Also winning for Grinnell was Ben Cobin '20, who posted a 6-3, 5-7, 10-3 decision at No. 4 singles.

Sriram Sugumaran '21 nearly pulled out two wins, losing a lengthy three-set battle at No. 1 singles and falling 9-7 at the top doubles spot with Cobin.

Grinnell is now 10-3, while Oberlin - ranked 38th in NCAA Division III and 10th in the region - is 6-7.

The Pioneers play Calvin College and Hamilton College on Thursday.
