GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's men's tennis team tuned up for the Midwest Conference Tournament by finishing up league play unbeaten Sunday.

The Pioneers shut down both Monmouth College and Knox College by 9-0 scores at the Grinnell High School courts to improve to 8-0 in the league and 20-4 overall. That stretches Grinnell's winning streak against MWC foes to 143 matches, dating back to 2002, while winning 89 in a row in league play itself.

The 20 wins in a season rank ninth-most in Pioneer history, as they've strung together a 10-match winning streak.

Singles winners against Monmouth were
Zach Lane '19 (7-6, 6-3),
Sam Stickels '19 (0-6, 6-4, 10-3),
Ben Cobin '20 (6-0, 6-4),
Michael Conlin-Brandenburg '21 (6-4, 6-2),
Ishaan Tibrewal '21 (7-5, 6-1) and
George Kaslow '21 (6-2, 6-0). Winning in doubles were the teams of Stickels-Conlin-Brandenburg (8-5), Cobin-Kaslow (8-3) and Tibrewal-Lane (8-1).

Grinnell posted shutouts in five of the nine levels against Knox, including 6-0, 6-0 singles wins by
Henry Johnson '20 at No. 2, Kaslow at No. 3 and
Peter Sills '18 at No. 5. Doubles winners by 8-0 decisions were Cobin-Kaslow at No. 1 and Sills-
Lucas LeDoux '19 at No. 3.

Rounding out Grinnell's list of winners were Lane at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1),
Arlo Detmer '20 at No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-1),
