GALESBURG, Ill. - Grinnell College's men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with Knox College and held an edge in shots in the second half, but the Prairie Fire eked out a 1-0 victory Saturday afternoon in Midwest Conference play.
The lone goal of the game came in the 32nd minute as the Prairie Fire moved to 4-1 in the MWC and 9-3-2 overall.
Although outshot 12-8 for the game, Grinnell held a 6-5 edge in that department during the second half.
Mikoto Kobayashi '20 and
Jasper Yang '21 each had two shots for the Pioneers, who are 0-4-1 in the league and 4-8-1 in all games.

The Pioneers will attempt to get back into the win column next Saturday when Ripon College visits Springer Field. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
