Pioneer men's tennis team comes up short against UW-Whitewater

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team wrapped up the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Tournament Saturday with a 6-3 setback to the host school.
 
Grinnell got two wins in singles, those coming from Cole Hagerman '22 at No. 5 (6-2, 6-4) and Michael Conlin-Brandenburg '21 at No. 6 (6-3, 6-0). Bowen Mince '22 had a thrilling battle at No. 1, nearly pulling out a win in a three-setter.
 
Grinnell's doubles victory came from the duo of Zach Lane '19 and George Kaslow '21 at No. 3 by an 8-7 score. The 4-1 Pioneers take to the road again next Saturday to face Carleton College.
