TUCSCON, Ariz. – Augsburg College used a few big innings to come away with a 14-1 baseball win over Grinnell College on Wednesday during the Pioneers' spring break trip.
Grinnell managed seven hits in the game, including two singles by
Matthew Inaba '22 and one single from
Riley Guieb '21,
Quinton McNitt '21,
Cooper King '21,
Brady LeSher '19 and
Chad Koehler '20.
Nate Lu '21, the starting pitcher, suffered the loss.
Grinnell got its run in the seventh inning when LeSher singled, went to second on Koehler's walk, took third when
Jonathan Gottlieb '22 walked and scored as Inaba reached base on an error.
The Pioneers, 3-7 on the season, will try to get back into the win column Thursday with games against Allegheny College.
