JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Grinnell College men's tennis team just keeps rolling along in Midwest Conference play.

The Pioneers stretched their MWC winning streak to 95 matches and their string against league teams overall to 151, dating back to 2003, with an 8-1 win over Monmouth College and 9-0 decision over Illinois College.

At 20-4, the Pioneers - ranked 12th in the Central Region - have the 10th-most victories in Grinnell history. Grinnell is 6-0 in league play and has shut out five of its foes.

Grinnell owned doubles against Illinois College, winning 8-2 with
Ben Cobin '20 and
Bowen Mince '22 at No. 1 and 8-0 at Nos. 2 and 3 with the duos of
Sam Stickels '19-
Michael Conlin-Brandenburg '21 and
Zach Lane '19-
George Kaslow '21. Singles winners, in order, were Mince (7-6, 6-1),
Sam Stickels '19 (6-1, 6-0), Cobin (6-2, 6-2),
Jack Lunn '20 (6-0, 6-0),
Ishaan Tibrewal '21 (6-0, 6-2) and Kaslow (6-0, 6-0).

In the Monmouth match, Grinnell again got out to a great start in doubles with wins by Stickels-Conlin-Brandenburg (8-2), Lane-Kaslow (8-1) and Lunn-Tibrewal (8-0). The Pioneers also won at Nos. 2 through 6 singles with Stickels (6-2, 6-0), Conlin-Brandenburg (6-0, 7-5), Lunn (6-0, 6-0), Tibrewal (6-0, 6-0) and Kaslow (6-0, 6-0).

Cobin moved up to 17th on Grinnell's career singles wins chart with 59 and Stickels is 21st with 56. Cobin also ranks 20th in career doubles wins with 61.

The Pioneers entertain Knox College at 10 a.m. Sunday and close out league play at 3 p.m. with a contest at Cornell College.
