After Buena Vista tied it, Kuhn put down a kill and Roth served an ace to give the hosts the win.

The third set was also close, tied 20-all before Jensen, Kuhn and Killin all had kills and the Beavers had a setting error to put the Pioneers within set point. After Buena Vista scored, Grinnell countered with a point to win.

Grinnell shot out to a 9-4 lead in the fourth set and never looked back in finishing off the match.

During the match, Kuhn boosted her season aces total to 44 which ranks 14th in program history. Grinnell's totals of 1,056 kills and 984 assists each are 12th-best for the program, while the aces total of 174 ranks 13th.
