MONMOUTH, Ill. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team made quick work of Monmouth College for the second time in a week Saturday, blanking the Fighting Scots 9-0. 
 
The Pioneers bolted out to a 3-0 lead in doubles with the duos of Bowen Mince '22-Leo Esztergomi '24 (8-4), Jonah Gilmore '24-Michael Conlin-Brandenburg '21 (8-4) and Charles Yung '24-Henry Bridgers '24 (8-0). 
 
Yung posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 6 singles. Other singles winners, in order one through five, were Mince (6-4, 5-7, 10-7), Conlin-Brandenburg (6-1, 6-1), Gilmore (6-1, 6-1), Paul Elghouayel '24 (6-1, 6-1) and Simon Kennel '23 (6-1, 6-0). 
 
Grinnell, which has won 101 Midwest Conference matches in a row, improved to 4-0 both in the MWC South Division and overall. Monmouth is 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the league. 
 
The Pioneers are at the home courts tomorrow, hosting Illinois College at 1:30 p.m.
