MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Grinnell College's women's tennis team remained perfect in Midwest Conference play while clinching a spot in the four-team league tourney with a 9-0 blanking of Cornell College Sunday.
 
The Pioneers, who stretched their winning streak against league foes to 27 matches dating back to 2018-19, had double winners in 
Sabrina Tang '23, 
Lily Perrin '25, 
Tan Mukherjee '26 and 
Nichole Henning '26.
 
Tang and Perrin each posted 6-0, 6-0 shutouts at the Nos. 1 and 2 singles spots, respectively, and teamed up to win 8-0 at the top doubles flight. Mukherjee won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and Henning earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 6. Those two combined to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
 
Rounding out the list of singles winners were 
Nehir Ergun '26 at No. 3 (6-4, 6-2) and 
Ananya Manchanda '26 at No. 5 (6-0, 6-2). 
Sophia de los Reyes '23 and 
Ioanna Giannakou '24 added an 8-1 decision at No. 2 doubles.
 
Tang moved into the No. 6 spot on Grinnell's singles career win chart with 65 and is 10
th for overall victories with 108.
 
Grinnell is 4-0 in the league and 4-1 in all matches, while Cornell dipped to 1-3 in the MWC and 5-5 overall. The Pioneers round out MWC action Saturday at home against Monmouth College and Illinois College.
