NFCA All-Region Teams

GRINNELL, Iowa – Last week, Grinnell College softball player Samantha Chu '24 earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® honors.
 
Today, she has claimed a spot on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Region IX second team at the third base spot.
 
Chu proved to be among the nation's toughest players to strike out with just 4 Ks during the 2022 campaign. A two-time All-Midwest Conference selection, Chu hit .425 with four homers, 16 doubles, 38 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
 
Chu had a slugging percentage of .646 and on-base percentage of .467. She also recorded a .954 fielding percentage at the hot spot.
 
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced on May 24.
