MWC Preseason Release

GRINNELL, Iowa – Fresh off a season in which it won a school-record 21 matches and advanced to the NCAA Division III Regional title match for the first time in program history, the Grinnell College tennis team is picked to finish first in the Midwest Conference in 2022-23.
 
Led by All-American Sabrina Tang '23 and a host of other key players, the Pioneers garnered 36 points in balloting by the league coaches and received the maximum six first-place votes.
 
In the voting, first-place picks receive seven points, second-place selections get six all the way down to one point for seventh place.
 
Lake Forest College, which has finished second to Grinnell in the MWC the past two seasons, is picked second with 31 points and Lawrence University is third with 24.
