GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's men's soccer team held its own with unbeaten University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for most of Sunday's contest, but in the end the Blugolds escaped with a 2-0 win at Springer Field.
A late first-half goal in the 41
st minute and an insurance score with three minutes left proved to be the difference as the Blugolds improved to 5-0.
Grinnell, 2-3 on the season, had five shots in the contest with three coming from
Noah Guyton '23 and one each by
Dylan Maddux '25 and
Nick Fahmy '26. Fahmy's shot was on goal.

Carter Benson '24 recorded eight saves for Grinnell.
The Pioneers have the week off before bouncing back into action Saturday against Nebraska Wesleyan University. Action at Springer Field is set for 1:30 p.m.
