Trio of Grinnell entries make round of 16 at men's ITA Regional event

ST. PETER, Minn. - A trio of Grinnell College entries advanced to the round of 16 at the ITA Midwest Regional hosted by Gustavus Adolphuis College this weekend.


Wilder Cooke '25 made the round of 16 in both singles and doubles. In singles, the ninth-seeded Cooke had a first-round bye before disposing of a Luther College foe 7-6, 6-2 and a 17th-seeded player from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 6-1, 7-6. Cooke then lost a tight 6-4, 7-5 battle to the fifth-seeded player from the host school.

In doubles, Cooke teamed with Lucas Willett '26 to make the round of 16 as the ninth seed. They defeated opponents from Luther (8-4) and UW-La Crosse (8-3) before dropping an 8-2 decision to the fourth-seeded team from UW-Whitewater.

Grinnell's entry of Sam Rudenberg '25 and Deuce Daniel '26, the fifth seed, also made the round of 16. They won by default and 8-3 against a squad from St. Olaf before falling 8-3 to a team from Luther.
