GC men's swimming and diving team sails past Augustana to move to 4-0 in dual meets

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's men's swimming and diving team moved to 4-0 in dual meets this season by disposing of Augustana College 162-120 Saturday afternoon at Russell K. Osgood Pool.

Ethan Yuen '24 posted three victories for Grinnell, winning the 100- and 200-yard butterflies in 51.09 seconds and 1:54.33, respectively. He also won the 400 medley relay team with Adam Feilmeyer '25, Benke Grobler '27 and Rommin Adl '26. Their time was 3:32.90.

Feilmeyer also won the 100 backstroke in 53.95 and Grobler was first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:12.49. Antoni Staszkiewicz '27 was first in the 500 and 1000 freestyles with times of 4:54.89 and 10:06.78. The latter time ranks 10th in program history.

Kevin Fitzgerald '25 won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.23 and 200 backstroke in 1:57:00, while Toby Frick '24 was first in 1- and 3-meter diving with scores of 214.28 and 196.28.

Individual runners-up for Grinnell were Noah Tsukuda '27 in the 1000 freestyle (10:06.80) and 500 freestyle (5:02.26), Grobler in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.50, which is 18th in program history) and 200 individual medley (2:02.38), Staszkiewicz i in the 200 butterfly (1:59.98), Adl in the 50 freestyle (22.22) and Feilmeyer in the 100 freestyle (49.32).

Grinnell hosts the Pioneer Classic on Dec. 1-2.
