GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's football team went toe-to-toe with the University of Chicago for the first half, but the Maroons pulled away in the final two periods to secure a 48-14 victory on a beautiful November Saturday afternoon at Rosenbloom Field.

The Pioneers sported a pair of 100-yard passers, as Grayson Woodhouse '24 completed 10-of-18 passes for 110 yards and Henry Baird '25 added a 7-of-14 performance for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Leading the receiving corps was Nick Rhinehart '25 with three catches for 66 yards, and Garrett Wilson '25 and Bradley West '27 with four catches apiece for 44 and 29 yards, respectively.

Defensively, Tim Johnson '24 made 18 tackles, Bert Greene '26 had 16 and Kevin Johanson '26 posted 12. Keaton Fitzgerald '26 came up with 11 stops.

Chicago (5-4, 5-3 Midwest Conference) got out to a 14-0 lead with scores in the first and second periods before Grinnell (2-7, 2-6 MWC) answered as Baird completed a 20-yard scoring strike to Noah Smith '27. Baird's 70-yard completion to Rhinehart sparked the drive, and Rhinehart's point after made it 14-7 with 6:33 left in the half.

Chicago came back to score, but Grinnell responded with an 80-yard drive in just a few minutes. Woodhouse completed passes of 26 yards to Wilson and 25 to CJ Readon '27. Woodhouse scored from 13 yards out with just 23 ticks left on the clock and Rhinehart kicked the point after.
