THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Grinnell College's men's tennis team played a thriller Monday, falling 5-4 in a tightly-contested match at California Lutheran University.
The teams were tied through singles play, with Grinnell's wins by
Karch Knoll '25 at No. 3 (6-1, 6-3),
Lucas Willett '26 at No. 4 (6-2, 6-2) and
Aiden Klass '25 at No. 6 (6-4, 7-6).
The Pioneers added a win at No. 1 doubles with the duo of
Leo Esztergomi '24-Klass (8-2).
Grinnell, 8-7, finishes its spring break trip to California Wednesday with a match at Chapman University.
