GALESBURG, Ill. - The Grinnell College women's soccer team bolted out to a fast start and never let up in shutting out Knox College 5-0 in Midwest Conference action Tuesday.

Grinnell's goal total is the highest for the team in more than two years, and the shots total of 24 and shots on goal tally of 17 are the highest since last year's win over Ripon College.
Peyton Dixon '27 posted her fifth shutout of the season in goal, making one save.

Grinnell had 17 shots alone in the first half and won the corner kick battle 6-0.
The game was halted in the 65th minute due to heavy rain before play resumed after a delay.

Jane March '24 scored two goals for the Pioneers, who improved to 1-0-1 in the MWC and 3-2-3 overall. They were her first two scores of the year and eighth and ninth in her career. Knox dipped to 0-1 in the league and 0-9 in all matches.
March scored just 11 minutes into the match, hitting a shot in the lower right portion of the goal on
Tali Berk's '25 assist. Ten minutes later,
Reese Komsthoeft '25 scored with a shot in the upper right part of the net. It was Komsthoeft's first goal of the season and fourth in her career.
Katie Carson '25 made it 3-0 with her first career goal in the 34th minute, hitting the upper center part of the net on
Gia Sundaram's '25 assist.

March converted her second goal of the match six minutes into the second half, scoring in the left lower part of the goal.
Rama Joshi '27 concluded the scoring after play resumed in the 67th minute, hitting the lower right part of the net for her first career goal on
Beya VanRheenen's '26 assist.

Grinnell plays its first home conference contest Saturday when Ripon College visits Springer Field. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m.
